It aims to strengthen the competitiveness of its members while contributing to the international influence of the French textile sector. Techtera has garnered recognition for its expertise both nationally and internationally, supported by various certifications. Established in 2005 and awarded the competitiveness cluster label by the French government, it has had this label renewed five times, most recently in 2023. The cluster connects companies of all sizes, research laboratories, and educational institutions within a designated territory and theme, involving national and local public authorities in its initiatives. Techtera has defined a strategic roadmap in consultation with industry stakeholders, fostering a network to stimulate innovation. It initiates and supports collaborative Research & Development projects at various levels, organizing workshops and working groups to develop textile solutions that address technological and economic challenges. Techtera assists these initiatives from the initial development phase to the launch of innovative products and services.
