Since the 19th century, Minot Recyclage Textile has been recycling textile waste. In the 1970s, the company specialized in shredding. Since 2011, MRT has been one of the few shredders to shred "post-consumer" textiles using Métisse® insulation from the "Le Relais" group of social and economic enterprises, a French leader in the textile collection and recycling sector, which MRT joined in 2013. Minot Recyclage Textile shreds textiles for numerous companies specializing in felt manufacturing, for the automotive, mattress, geotextile, paper, spinning, green wall, and thermal and acoustic insulation sectors (notably with the product developed within the Le Relais group: Métisse®). The waste processed by Minot Recyclage consists of natural, plant, synthetic, or blended fibers. They can be second-hand, such as textile offcuts, or sometimes even brand new. The expert teams at Minot Recyclage Textile have a keen eye for identifying the best way to repurpose the fabrics that pass through their hands. Their knowledge of machine parameters and the expertise of their team allow them to make adjustments according to the fiber's intended use. Minot Recyclage Textile is committed to participating in the development of innovative techniques in order to meet its clients' requirements. To this end, a quality control laboratory has been integrated into the industrial setup. Since 1996, Minot Recyclage Textile has been committed to a quality assurance program. After obtaining ISO 9002 certification in 1998, the company is now ISO 9001:2015 certified, obtained in May 2019.
